UHPLC Column, NP Amino, 1.8um, 100A. 2.1mm ID x 50mm Length. Cogent Brand. 1 EA.
Additional Information:
Cogent NP Amino™ is a versatile normal phase and HILIC stationary phase designed for the separation of highly polar compounds that are often difficult to retain using traditional reversed-phase methods. Manufactured on ultra-high purity silica with a propyl amino bonded phase and supplied without endcapping, this chemistry provides excellent selectivity for carbohydrates, sugars, organic acids, and other polar analytes. The stationary phase is commonly used as an alternative for USP L8 methods and is suitable for both Normal Phase and HILIC applications.
68140-05P-2 is a UHPLC column packed with 1.8 µm NP Amino™ particles featuring a 100 Å pore size in a 2.1 mm ID x 50 mm format. The narrow-bore design reduces solvent consumption and is frequently used with LC-MS systems. The short 50 mm length is optimized for rapid separations and high-throughput analysis, while the sub-2 µm particle technology delivers exceptional efficiency and peak capacity. Typical operating flow rates are approximately 0.2–0.4 mL/min. Because of the low flow rates required by 2.1 mm ID columns, standard HPLC systems must be capable of precise and reproducible low-flow operation if they are used with this column.
This column is specifically designed for UHPLC operation and is intended to take full advantage of UHPLC systems capable of operating at the elevated pressures generated by 1.8 µm particles. It is particularly effective for sugars, carbohydrates, negatively charged compounds, organic acids, and compounds containing carboxylic acid functionality. As with all amino phases, this column is suitable for HILIC applications when enhanced retention of polar compounds is required.

Important Notes
Specifically designed for UHPLC operation and high-pressure chromatography
Delivers maximum performance when used on a UHPLC system designed for sub-2 µm particle columns
May be used on compatible HPLC systems only if instrument pressure limits are not exceeded and low-flow operation is reliable
Sub-2 µm particles generate substantially higher backpressure than conventional HPLC columns
The 2.1 mm ID format is commonly used for LC-MS applications
Standard HPLC systems must be capable of precise and reproducible operation at approximately 0.2–0.4 mL/min
Packed and shipped in Normal Phase solvents
Suitable for both Normal Phase and HILIC chromatographic modes
Excellent for sugars, carbohydrates, organic acids, and other highly polar compounds
Samples should be filtered through a 0.2 µm syringe filter prior to injection
